On October 19, the 2^nd "Belt and Road" Talent Cultivation Seminar of the World Young Scientist Summit 2020 (2020 WYSS 2020) was held in Wenzhou. Tan Jianrong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Xiaoming, Director of the National Mechanical Industry Education and Development Center, Yang Xiaochun, Deputy Director of the Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Center, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and other more than 500 guests from government sectors, education, science and technology industries attended the event.

The event, themed on "Talent Cultivation in the Context of Technological Innovation and Cultural Exchange", aims to explore new ideas for talent training, accelerate scientific and cultural exchange, and build a high-level platform that drives innovative development and deepens international and domestic cooperation.

At the seminar, YRCTI was awarded the title of "Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Talent Training Base in Fields of Intelligent Manufacturing" by the Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Center, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. President Zhu Yuhua made a speech entitled “boosting education collaboration and promoting the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative”. Zhu introduced measures taken by YRCTI to develop a multi-dimensional cooperation on the internationalization of education and cultivation of international technical personnel with water conservancy skills, especially the experience of YRCTI's running Dayu School abroad, and to implement the “Belt and Road” Initiative and internationalization of higher vocational education initiatives proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. She also talked about the plans of Dayu School and efforts made to build Dayu School into a vocational education brand to serve the “Belt and Road” Initiative and an icon of Chinese vocational education accelerate.
