From May 18 to June 1, a team of three teachers from YRCTI’s School of Business and Management traveled to Thailand to conduct “Chinese + Vocational Skills” training and engage in educational exchanges and cooperation with local universities and enterprises.

Deputy Dean of the School of Business and Management Yin You, Higher Vocational Education Researcher Zhou Airong, and Head of the E-commerce Major Zhang Geling, focusing on “Chinese +” short video marketing and cross-border live streaming, conducted a 15-day “Chinese + Vocational Skills” training program at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Northwest Technical and Business Management College of Thailand, and Thai e-commerce companies. During the training, the teachers used a variety of teaching methods to analyze and explain representative local e-commerce cases from Thailand while introducing cutting-edge concepts and the latest trends from China’s e-commerce industry, witnessing active interaction between teachers and students, lively classroom atmosphere, and positive training outcomes.

During the visit, the three teachers also engaged in discussions with representatives from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Northwest Technical and Business Management College of Thailand, the College of Education and Arts at the Far Eastern University, the Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University, and Panyapiwat Institute of Management concerning the “Chinese + E-commerce” vocational skills training curriculum system, construction of teaching platform and resources, vocational skills grade standards of e-commerce, talent cultivation models, and the education of international students.

YRCTI’s School of Business and Management has actively participated in many cooperation programs such as the international cooperation platform for e-commerce education “E-Commerce Valley” and the faculty training project under China-Thailand “Chinese + E-commerce” cooperation program, developed digital course resources for “Chinese + E-commerce Vocational Skills”, and contributed to the formulation of the talent cultivation program for the “Chinese + E-commerce Vocational Skills” project between China and ASEAN, making extensive and effective contributions to international cooperation in the field of e-commerce education. This “Chinese + Vocational Skills” training is a significant outcome of cooperation between YRCTI and Thai institutions and enterprises and represents an important measure in YRCTI’s efforts to establish an open, cooperative and innovative highland of vocational education for ASEAN.
