On July 23, the Opening Ceremony of Kunpeng Industries Faculty of Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute (YRCTI) was successfully held at the conference hall on the 1^st floor of the Student Center with the presence of Zhang Shuichao (Director of Higher Education Division of the Education Department of Henan Province), Shi Wensheng (Deputy-director of Vocational and Adult Education Division), Feng Wu (Chairman of Huanghe Science and Technology Group Innovation Co., Ltd.), Zhang Xuan (Chief of Henan Government and Enterprise Education Medical Development Department of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.), Wang Hao (General Manager of Henan Government and Enterprise Kaifeng Business Department), Zhou Baoping, Secretary of the Party Committee of YRCTI, President Zhu Yuhua, and Vice-presidents Jiao Aiping and Jian Haoran. The Vice-president Jian Haoran presided over the ceremony.  

Zhou Baoping delivered the welcome speech to the leaders and guests present and extended the gratitude towards the leaders and entrepreneurs who cared about and supported the development of the Institute on behalf of YRCTI. She stated that the founding of Kunpeng Industries Faculty indicated another achievement of YRCTI in enhancing the connotation construction for the high-quality institute and specialty, deepening the education-industry combination and college-enterprise cooperation. YRCTI would spare no efforts to coordinate with the Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center in the Central Plains, and carry out cooperation in talent cultivation, development of the teaching staff and construction of training bases for the Kunpeng ecological circle, Huawei Cloud, big data, and artificial intelligence in a deep-going way, to implement the complementation of industrial advantages and cooperative talent cultivation by enterprises and colleges and cultivate the high-tech professionals in the Kunpeng transplantation protocol.

Feng Wu introduced the basic information about the Huanghe Science and Technology Group as well as the prospect and talent cultivation model of the Kunpeng Industries Faculty. Zhang Xuan expressed the willingness of Huawei to cooperate with YRCTI to build a Kunpeng industries center with an improved industrial ecology, leading core technologies, and abundant application scenarios.

Zhang Shuichao recognized the history of 91 years and development of the Institute in the speech, expressing that YRCTI had obtained significant achievements in deepening the industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation, formed distinctive talent cultivation concept, and provided numerous human resources for the development of water conservancy industry and local economic development of Henan Province. He also hopes that YRCTI would grasp the opportunity to enhance the close cooperation with the Kunpeng Ecological Innovation Center in the Central Plains, learn the technologies, standards, management and culture of Huawei Technologies and use them for the development of the Institute, build the “Kunpeng Industries Faculty” as the benchmark for the industries faculty construction across Henan Province, fully develop the demonstration and leading role in the cultivation of Kunpeng software talents and actively contribute to the high-quality development of the software industry.
