On the morning of July 16, the kick-off meeting for construction of an international people-to-people exchange talent cultivation base project in the intelligent manufacturing field under the Education Department was launched at the Conference Room 1 of the Administrative Building with the presence of Chen Shaoming, Marketing Director of Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and his colleagues, totaling 5 people, YRCTI President Zhu Yuhua, Vice-President Jian Haoran and persons in charge of Liaison and Cooperation Department and School of Electric Engineering.

Zhu Yuhua expressed welcome to Chen Shaoming and other guests and introduced the basic information of YRCTI in industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation. She hoped that YRCTI would further cooperate with the Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd. to develop new modes and new cooperation fields, build the win-win long-term cooperation platform and create the community of a shared future for the company and YRCTI.

Chen Shaoming described the international people-to-people exchange talent cultivation base project in the intelligent manufacturing field from the company profile, background of the base project, the construction content and characteristics. He also expressed the willingness to carry out the industry-education integration with YRCTI in a deep-going way through this project and improve the service levels for both in the intelligent manufacturing field.  

Jian Haoran stated that YRCTI would further integrate resources and combine technical innovation with cultural and people-to-people exchanges to create a distinctive international technical and skilled talent cultivation base and serve the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. He requested that the relevant unit should take the responsibility of research and investigation and make an overall plan to steadily boost the construction of the base.  

Afterward, both parties proceeded with a deep-going discussion on further cooperation and reached consensus on training of the teaching staff, course development, talent cultivation, etc.  

The international people-to-people exchange talent cultivation base project in the intelligent manufacturing field is initiated by the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange Ministry of Education to promote the industry-education integration, boost the talent cultivation in the intelligent manufacturing field, and serve the international cooperation under the “Belt and Road” Initiative. In 2020, YRCTI was selected to be one of the first colleges for the international people-to-people exchange talent cultivation base project in the intelligent manufacturing field, which would further facilitate the development of "high-level vocational college and specialty" in YRCTI, build YRCTI into a high-end technical and skilled talent cultivation platform and pacesetter, opening a new chapter for the international exchange and cooperation for YRCTI.
